I found that EtoileExtensionsKit has some classes which are useful
for me,
although it need some fixes here and there.
UKKQueue seems to be old, and UKDistributedView seems to be newer
compared to released code from M. Uli Kusterer.
Is it true ?
Our UKKQueue version is outdated currently, it is based on 0.3
release I think.
iirc UKDistributedView version in our repository hasn't been yet
released (the code is newer than 0.4 release).
If so, I can import the latest UKKQueue and fix the bugs.
Yes, that would be nice.
The other question is how do we maintain these code ?
For now, there is no real policy.
Are we keep importing the lastest release or we maintain our own
copy (fork) ?
Until now I have tried to keep our copy in sync with Uli Kusterer SVN
repository (but I'm currently unable to connect it, I have to ask him
whether it is still possible to use it). I was planning to submit my
changes for UKDistributedView back to Uli Kusterer.
If latter is true, we can make more changes to fit our need,
but less easy to import again from latest original release.
I don't think it is a really good idea to fork for these classes.
For UKDistributedView because is a pretty complex class, which means
it is nice to benefit from Uli's updates.
For UKKQueue, we may discuss changes with Uli, I think it would be
open to such possibilities. That's what we were doing on Filie side
before Filie was discontinued. Moreover he is ok to include changes
needed to support GNUstep (he worked on IconKit one year ago).
