There is also epkg and others that don't provide a new format, but
instead convert between debs, rpm, etc.
They are interesting, and autopackage looks nice. I haven't read it
all, but I just have one grievance against this solutions: I got lost
amidst the plethora of files that are checked for deps, pulled from
the net, etc. This is of course necessary for full automatic package
resolving. They also mention something like we were talking the other
day (triggers).
