Hi Rolando -- welcome to etoile :)

I'm a CS student and have a solid C and Operating Systems base. I
coded a few small things in ObjC when I had a mac, but nothing
serious...
I've been subscribed to the etoile-dev list for a while now, and due
to some circumstances I have some free time. I've never worked in a
free software project before (only small patches), and I see the
etoile-project as something I would love to work on.
Anyway... I saw some sort of a "to-do" list a few days ago here in the
list (when talking about Google's Summer of Code), although I know
etoile is not part of the SoC project, I'm willing to work on one of
those topics. So... where should I start?

There's surely a number of things to work on :-D

CoreObject is imho really interesting, but quentin is in charge of it,
so he'll tell you better than me if you can help him at this stage of
the implementation (as he's working on a separate branch).

Something that would be really cool too would be to work on the file
manager -- plenty of interesting things here too, although it's likely
a complex first project :)

So If you want to start with smaller projects -- perhaps a good idea
at first -- an obvious choice would be to work on BookmarkKit or
IconKit -- it should be pretty simple/fast to finish their
implementation and they'll give you a good taste of Objective-C
development imho.

Other ideas welcolmed !

Cheers,
