What exactly will you put in this libAzalea ? I'm asking because I have some code I wrote for the panel that do things like ewmh requests (so you can use it to define the available desktop area, mark an app as sticky, swallow windows, etc.). I wanted to clean up the code and create a simple framework we can use -- eg in EtoileMenuServer to set the available area.
