Hello,

I tried to compile GNUstep and Gorm on OS X.
Only GNUstep make worked. Is there who compiled it successfully on
OS X or knows how to do it?

Hi,

For Panther, it should work almost flawlessly, here is a guide : <http://svn.gna.org/viewcvs/gnustep/tools/make/trunk/Documentation/ README.Darwin?rev=22531&view=markup>
You can make things a little easier by using GNUstep Startup module.

For Tiger, it may work, in my case I haven't been to able to succeed even after many attemps, but other people have done it without any problems. The best solution is probably to try with Darwinports packages. I'm only speaking of Mac OS X on ppc here. I don't think anyone has ever tried to build GNUstep on Mac OS X x86 at this time.

You have to know also that GDB doesn't work well with FSF objc runtime on ppc. For example, stacktraces work but you cannot step in your code outside of one method.

Quentin.
