Hi Everyone,

I've spent the last couple of days bug chasing. StepChat now more or
less runs on GNUstep, with the remaining issues:

- NSOutlineView must be patched to fix the bug mentioned in the other
mail.

- Roster size calculations work correctly, but roughly 50% of the
time NSWindow ignores my resize message. If your roster is too
small, closing and opening a group, changing the option selected in
the 'view' menu, or anything else that forces a redraw will fix it.

- If Camaelon is in GSUserAppKitBundles, it crashes when it tries to
create a window. This happens to Gorm as well. It may be a FreeBSD-
specific issue. If anyone familiar with Camaelon feels like having a
look, it would be nice to get that fixed before 0.2 (if it's just a
FreeBSD issue, then we can leave it for now and patch it in /stable
after the release). Setting just EtoileMenu and EtoileBehaviour in
the per-app default is a work-around, but it makes the app look less
nice (obviously).

- There are a few places where the UI is sub-optimal on GNUstep.
Lots of places don't show coloured strings, which are used fairly
extensively (for online state in the roster, for example), and the
placeholder text in the status message box in the roster isn't shown,
making it much less clear what the box is for.

Apart from this, it seems to work. I've chatted to myself with one
of me on OS X and the other on Étoilé/FreeBSD, without any problems.
The changes have been pushed into /stable, so testing before the 0.2
would be appreciated.

Have fun!

David
