I don't think Camaelon is really optimized, it caches theme images though. Nicolas can probably tell us more about that. As a side note, having a gradient class in EtoileUI would be useful. I have found a nice gradient panel: <http://gradientpanel.com/ index.html> It uses CTGradient available here: <http://svn.oofn.net/ CTGradient/trunk/> CTGradient uses Quartz, but it looks it could be ported… We need to write replacement functions for: CGShadingCreateAxial and CGShadingCreateRadial. Other Quartz stuff can be replaced by GNUstep equivalent. Functions to compute the color at each pixel are implemented at the end of the tile (see linearEvaluation).
