To build Étoilé you need to install Ubuntu dependencies (take a look at Etoile/INSTALL.Ubuntu) and GNUstep (svn trunk version or the latest unstable releases) then compile everything by typing make in trunk/ Etoile directory. Finally you have to run ./setup.sh. You can find more precise explanations in the INSTALL document.
