Okay, so now that I know how to compile and setup Etoile, here is my initial report on how it is working.
Here is a bit about my machine: processor : 1 vendor_id : GenuineIntel cpu family : 6 model : 15 model name : Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7500 @ 2.20GHz stepping : 10 cpu MHz : 800.000 cache size : 4096 KB physical id : 0 siblings : 2 core id : 1 cpu cores : 2 fpu : yes fpu_exception : yes cpuid level : 10 wp : yes flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush dts acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss ht tm pbe syscall nx lm constant_tsc arch_perfmon pebs bts rep_good pni monitor ds_cpl vmx est tm2 ssse3 cx16 xtpr lahf_lm bogomips : 4389.04 clflush size : 64 cache_alignment : 64 address sizes : 36 bits physical, 48 bits virtual power management: So, here's the interesting part. When I start up Etoile, it is a very long time before I see anything other than a mouse pointer (about a minute). Then the only thing that is visible is the menu bar, star menu, and the clock. I can click on the clock to see the calendar, and the star menu works, but when I click Log Out, the window doesn't have a titlebar or borders. -- Dane Elshof "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
