Okay, so now that I know how to compile and setup Etoile, here is my initial
report on how it is working.

So, here's the interesting part. When I start up Etoile, it is a very long
time before I see anything other than a mouse pointer (about a minute). Then
the only thing that is visible is the menu bar, star menu, and the clock. I
can click on the clock to see the calendar, and the star menu works, but
when I click Log Out, the window doesn't have a titlebar or borders.
