Hello,
I would like to introduce myself and join and help out the Etoile
project.
My name is Kurt Landrus, but I like to go by Koctya nickname (c is pronounce
like s).
I've been lurking here for a while, and would like to learn more about
Objective-C and improve my skills.
I work in Reston Va. in IC, using Ruby, Scala, Java.
I am ABD and working toward finishing my dissertation in computer engineering,
and I hope to finish in summer or fall 2011.
My topic is on GPU computing for Finite Difference problems with OpenCL, and
work mostly in C and Fortran (in addition to OpencL and CUDA).
Would there be any use for an CLKit in Etoile to accelerate any functions?
Can you suggest any components that I can help work on to better improve my
Objective-C?
I use mostly a MacBook Pro, and a Mini server, in additon to a home built Linux
workstation with NVIDIA GTX-275, and AMD Radeon HD 6950 GPUs.
I like working with FreeBSD, but I use Ubuntu minimal server as I need the
closed drivers to work with CUDA and OpenCL.
I tried Installing Etoile at work, but it failed to build ( I don't have notes
at home), I plan to try again at home next weekend.
Also I read some of David's Articles on Text proc. and was wondering if any of
his Latex Macros are available anywhere, They would be very helpful to use in
writing my paper.
