XPM is widely used in XWindow.
If anyone can add XPM support into NSImage,
it will be a great help for Azalea, a GNUstep window manager project.

Emacs Cocoa seems to have an implementation based on libXPM.
It would also be nice that XPM can be loaded directly from NSData,
but there is a work-around if it can only be loaded from file.

An easy way is by returning bitmap representation
for any unknown type and use image magic to
generate tiff stream.
BTW. I too, am writing a WM :)
