   FOAF is a XML standard used to describe persons and there relations towards each other. It is pretty complete and it's also one of the most advanced projects of the Semantic Web. If Etoile provides FOAF support, we are amongst the first to support it on the desktop rather than the web. :-)


I have a strange idea for this. Now that it's very confusing to define the styles of themes and icons that users would want and how to access them. I wonder if we could somehow tie theme/style/etc metadata framework with FOAF. May be it could map network of appearance rather grouping them into a very dynamic form? ie. replacing trees with networks. Themes may refer to subthemes and/or refered by collections of specific designers or by some friends's opinions. This is likely relating to the Style class I was asking for, once.
