I am happy to see Addresses becoming a part of Etoile.

Have you talked to Bjoern Giesler about this? Is Addresses now completely being
developed in the Etoile SVN or is this a fork? Or, to ask this question the
right way:
Who is the maintainer of the Etoile SVN version of AddressesKit?

I tried to contact Bjoern and got no reply.
 So I import it directly.
If Addresses is updated later, we can always sync with it,
just like other ported projects, ex. Azalea, OgreKit, etc.
 And everyone can maintain it.
i think that's the reason we want to have everything under the same project.

I recently wrote a small patch for AddressesKit that provides better
compatibility with
VCards from the Apple Address book. (I wrote something about it on my weblog,
you
will be able to find it there.) If it's okay with the maintainers of this
version, I'd like to
merge it into the repository.

 You can patch it directly.
 I don't see a reason why not. :)
