Hey, I noticed an interesting thing on slashdot today about the One
Laptop Per Child GUI. Here's the link:
http://developers.slashdot.org/developers/06/12/11/1155242.shtml

There's a link to the olpc wiki where the GUI is described, and it
seems that they've implemented many ideas similar to one's I've seen
in the etoile wiki. "Activities, Not Applications", "Journaling" - the
OS saves the history of documents rather than making the user
explicitly 'Save.', "Zooming" - seems like something else I read about
in the etoile wiki.

There is also a link to someone's blog where they praise the GUI, and
as well as some criticisms in the slashdot comments (one regarding
"Activities, Not Applications" - that they tie together assumptions
about what the user is going to be doing in advance; but i don't
really see how this applies to etoile's model. other criticisms about
'this hasn't undergone testing', etc.)
