Hi! I like your new icons very much. They look amazing. :-) The only thing I'm having a bit of trouble with is the 'zipped' icon. I'm pretty sure most germans wouldn't understand the wordplay, and we're still comparedly good english speakers. Maybe it's better to choose some kind of 'package' metaphor for that. (I know, it's kind of uncool because everybody uses it. :-> But that's also a great strength, as users have possibly already seen the metaphor used elsewhere.) I'm going to try the back and forward icons this evening in DictionaryReader. It'll look great! :-) -Guenther
Many of the icons I've already developed are based on the work of Jasper Hauser, and the icons he was commissioned to design (http:// www.jasperhauser.nl/projects/gnustep/). I'm certainly fine with redesigning the icons if there are any issues like this that make them less global. My only concern is that many of these were already "approved" by (presumably) Quentin and Nicolas, so we would be going through another round of revisions.
Let me know what you all think. J. _______________________________________________ Etoile-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/etoile-discuss
