I'm working on getting a search window into the mockup, and I'm
curious as to what people think about this:

Assuming that every Document exists within a Project, when I search
for a specific Document, and the Object Manager locates it, I can

  - Copy that Document into the currently viewable Project by
dragging onto the Desktop
  - Copy that Document into another Project by dragging it to that
Project's representation in the Sidebar
  - Remove that Document from my system by dragging it to the Trash
(it's not actually removed until I empty the Trash)
  - Double click that Document to launch the Project that it's a part
of and automatically open/maximize the Document

Does that sound right?

i think it sounds right, although it doesn't really sound right for a user
to open one document and the whole project opens unless you specifically
want it to.

Is there a way this can be more flexible i.e. opening a "foreign" document
within the current project (temporarily) without having to move/copy it?

Such a document could behave like the search window, when you close it,
that's it -- you would have to get it from where you did the last time.

Is there any reason for the default behavior to be copying documents instead
of moving?

Also, the user should be able to have multiple search windows open at
once, right?

i'd like to think so, yes.
