It seems interesting.  I am also not sure of a use for this (some of  
its features are now in Foundation, some I've implemented myself),  
but it's worth keeping in mind to avoid more duplication of effort.

Do you know how this compares, feature-wise, with GNUmail?  The  
framework used by GNUmail (Pantomime) is LGPL.  Given two feature- 
equivalent choices, I would got for the BSDL one, but if Pantomime  
does more then I would be tempted just to use it...
