I just want to mention that fontconfig is only used by cairo backend, not art backend. So regular GNUstep users will not notice the difference. But I am all for cairo backend for the future. If you have copyright assigned to FSF, you can also improve cairo backend to make it play nicer with extermal font manager. I think it would make your work easier, for example, notifing all GNUstep application when users disable font in FontManager.app. Another thing I really like is to have a fallback font mechanism. (I think NSFontManager has a -preferredFonts: for that). So if current font miss some glyphs, it will use the next font to display that glyphs. But it may be too much to ask. :) Yen-Ju > ... > > Also, I'm so excited about 0.2 being released! :) > > Thanks, > Isaiah Beerbower > > -- > View my website at www.ipaqah.com. > > "Facts are stubborn things, but statistics are more pliable." -- Mark Twain > > _______________________________________________ > Etoile-discuss mailing list > [email protected] > https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/etoile-discuss > _______________________________________________ Etoile-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/etoile-discuss
