In the long run, we should avoid using sudo for exactly this reason.   
Changes have just been committed to OpenBSD's sudo which clean  
environment variables and only pass through a set of known-safe  
ones.  This behaviour, if it doesn't already, will almost certainly  
appear in other systems shortly.
