Hello people, Just to say you that I am to the point to switch my own private developments (C++, java and Lua) to gnustep because I am so enthusiast about the idea to have, one day, smalltalk and objective C integrated together seemlessly around Gnustep. (I need now to learn Gnustep, and maybe I will participate to your project after).
Of course language-kit must be independant of graphics libraries so that it will be useable under cygwin for example, for pure comptational tasks. Good luck to your projecs (gnustep and etoile), I put a lot of hope in them. And sorry to buzzy this mailing list, I will be quiet now, for a moment. /larpoux PS for David : I think a little more, and of course you are right : java cannot be escaped from its jvm because of the java libraries. It's not a problem for ST because nobody has actually byte code without sources and any way, there is not a lot of external libraries needed. And more, ST language is improvment over objective C, but not java. _______________________________________________ Etoile-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/etoile-discuss
