In addition to that, the 0.2 livecd was pretty much created manually,
on an old ubuntu release; ubuntu released a better livecd a bit after,
so we postponed updating all this.

yep, automating this is the way to go. We definitely will do this for 0.5.
For 0.4 I don't think it really matters.
