It's on the todo list. The SILC toolkit is very easy to use. GhostOfRaskin, the Étoilé SILC bot uses it and is very simple. Once we have the communications hub code finished, it will be trivial to add SILC support. On the other hand, if we add multi-user conference support to XMPPKit then we might switch to that instead. IRC is a painfully stupid protocol with a great many problems, so I doubt we'll ever switch to IRC.
