Hello,

I understand that Etoile is more of a development environment than a
desktop environment at the moment, but I've been considering using some of
Etoile's components coupled to GWorksapce to provide a more coherent and
complete GNUstep desktop environment.

So far I've installed the relevant GNUstep packages for Debian 6 from their
stable repository. I've then compiled EtoileMenuServer, EtoileWildMenus,
XWindowServerKit and SystemConfig.

EtoileMenuServer launches GWorkspace without any issues however the
Logoff/Shutdown/Sleep functions don't work. Also, if I close a GWorkspace
window, GWorksapce quits with the following displayed in the Terminal in a
loop:

2012-08-25 16:41:51.267 EtoileMenuServer[2320] *** NSTimer ignoring
exception 'NSGenericException' (reason 'Trying to send message to an
invalid Proxy.
You should request NSConnectionDidDieNotification's and
release all references to the proxy's of invalid Connections.') raised
during posting of timer with target 0x97fdef8 and selector
'checkRunningApps'

Am I missing some more components? Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Daniel Nesbitt
