Um, I found out how to manipulate my drive for faster reads but how do I save my settings? SuSE would not setup using the optimum config and I had to go safe mode on the install which doesn't use DMA. Altering setting brought me from barely 3MB/sec reads to about 30MB/sec readings. Not bad eh? The O'reilly page I was reading mentioned saving the settings in /etc/rc.d* but there's a few of those files and I don't know which one to edit. Does anyone?
