In other news Tommy Jenkins of Ms. Haynes 4th grade class just announced a leveraged buyout of microsoft based on a portfolio offer consisting of $180Bn in Monopoly money and an indexed share of futures derived from his baseball card collection.... But seriously, this is a definite sign of our culture's increasing dislocation from anything as boring as actual grimy reality. I wonder if this could result in people dodging taxes by asking to be paid in game tokens rather than cash, or talking up boring games in an effort to arbitrage fictional currencies. I see potent new possibilities of crime, why as a storyline it would make a fairly compelling game of its' own. hmmm. you heard it here first...
