Here is what I think we concensed at tonight.

We're going to try for two presentation tracks. Call them the newbie
track and the advanced track. Each track will have a presentation
once a month. (I personally have my doubts about us being able to
keep up that pace -- prove me wrong.)

Since it's been hard in the past to get people to present, we're going
to try a new format, the panel discussion. In a panel, several people
share the podium and discuss the topic. That way, no one person has
to do all the preparation, and no one person has to be the final
authority.

At EFN, we have a smallish place for presentations, and we have an LCD
projector available. Sometimes, we might have internet access. (-:
(We didn't tonight, and the irony of an ISP without internet access
was appreciated.)

The clinics are going to remain on Thursday nights, and the
presentations will be on Saturday afternoons, just like they used to
be. We will occasionally replace the clinic with a special topic.

Beaker has volunteered to be the web master. Yay, Beaker!
Look for new content on the web site shortly.

We have a topic for our first presentation, which will be on the
newbie track. I'll announce it in a separate posting. I'm soliciting
the first advanced track presentation, which should be November 2nd.
Dexter, Tim, Cory, Mike, who wants to go first?

We're establishing a new position, the Minister of Propaganda. The
MiniProp's job will be to notify the dead tree media, starting with
the Eugene Weekly and the Register Guard, of our event schedule. If
the MiniProp feels ambitious, s/he can certainly do more than that.

Who wants to be the Minister of Propaganda?
