Fry's Electronics frequently sells budget (cheap crap)
PC's with Thiz Linux preinstalled. I think it's just a
way to get around the OS barrier and sell systems. Of
course they aren't going to take the time to do a
better distro because it's numbers that are more
important to them. I really don't have an idea of how
useable the system is out of the box though. A WalMart
Lindows PC is probably a better buy for an absolute
beginner and their first PC. At $200 for a PC it can
be considered a throwaway. I can't really build a good
system that I'd even consider using for much less than
$400. Of course you get what you pay for. That's why I
like my $300 graphics card.
