Fry's Electronics frequently sells budget (cheap crap) PC's with Thiz Linux preinstalled. I think it's just a way to get around the OS barrier and sell systems. Of course they aren't going to take the time to do a better distro because it's numbers that are more important to them. I really don't have an idea of how useable the system is out of the box though. A WalMart Lindows PC is probably a better buy for an absolute beginner and their first PC. At $200 for a PC it can be considered a throwaway. I can't really build a good system that I'd even consider using for much less than $400. Of course you get what you pay for. That's why I like my $300 graphics card.
