Today RealNetworks is pleased to announce the Helix Community Grant
Program for open source digital media projects. This program is a unique
and rare opportunity to win the financial and development support you
need for your digital media innovations.
DON'T MISS YOUR CHANCE TO APPLY BY FRIDAY, OCT 3!
This is a perfect opportunity for industry researchers, faculty and
students who are seeking research topics as well as funding. Through this
program, they will have the opportunity to do cutting edge research and
implementations for digital media.
We'll be awarding up to $75,000 by year's end to proposals for advanced
research, solutions to implementation gaps and creative projects. We are
especially interested in advanced research related to streaming media
performance over networks. The deadline for applications for our first
round of funding will be midnight PST on Friday, Oct. 3.
We encourage you to share this grant information with interested
colleagues. You can find more details on what we're looking for in
