The biggest problem I see, is that the existence of this "tool" lends
some credence to SCO claims.
To remove something requires that it exist.

Not necessarily; it could be vaporware, or they are prepared to  
distribute a patch
file (in which case the "product" would be a GUI frontend for an extant  
utility)
