I was reading about User Mode Linux and it looks very interesting. http://user-mode-linux.sourceforge.net/ The question I have is could you have more than one Linux kernel. For example run the 2.2.18 , 2.2.25 and 2.4.x each in virtual user space or is it a copy of the kernel which is running. I was also wondering if one could make the each kernel transparent to the others? I've just read about it and sounded like the ultimate virtual machine. I wonder how many instances one could have before things start to degrade or have problems. Another nice thing you can run user mode linux as a user. This is nice.
