Dirk, visit http://ftp3.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/
and then http://www.mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/en/codecs.html (which explains to unpack the codec files to your /usr/local/lib/codecs directory) Furthermore, the following link explains that you should use the -forceidx options with mplayer for RealMedia: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/en/formats.html#realmedia My RH9 system, with a set of existing mplayer codecs, did not have the /usr/local/lib/codecs directory, but I unpacked the rp8 and rp9 codecs into there, and made sure they were world-readable. I still couldn't get it to play, anyway, but I do indeed still have some legacy config corrupting my environment, so your mileage may vary! let me know if you need specific help, unpacking .tar.bz2's or otherwise... regards, Ben On 12 Oct 2003 20:25:32 -0700 Dirk Ouellette <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: | Thanks for all the help.
