Where did you take your dump?  (hee hee)
Do you have problems sshing to other machines?
If the dump was from an intermediary, what about sshing to the
intermediary or a local subnetted host.
If it happens to all ssh connections on all local ssh hosts, how about
to itself (dump lo)?
If that still does it, remove and reinstall ssh/sshd and try again.
If not you have a crack to explore.
I'm ready for more info.
