Well, I left Symantec in 1999. I seem to remember exporting the favorites as an html file that could be imported in Netscape back on Windows 98. Not sure about Windows 95.How long has IE been exporting Favs to a single file that could be transported to another machine/OS and imported easily? I've not noticed it until IE6.
I'd say that's back at least to IE 3 or 4.
It's always stored the favorites in some other format, in the registry or whatever, but it could be exported to html easily enough.
