thanks for that info larry, but the problem is - how do I edit the play list to show other stations I want to list? I'm a little confused on how this is set up, other than it popping up on the download manager, when I click on the link given to me. http://66.220.123.123:443/listen.pls, I want to add more like these shown, tho.

When I click on the + it gives me the directory, I am in and ask's me if I want to create a director for such file? Now, that's where I'm getting confused...

I used to be an XMMS fan, but the "All interface toolkits suck so

helpful tip for Ubuntu users, to enable mp3 playback for all gnome
applications you need to 'apt-get install gstreamer0.8-mad' since
it's not included by default due to some tedious IP hostage-taking and
the ShuttleWorth foundations (understandable) reluctance to become
lawyer bait.

Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you are using the XMMS player on your linux
boxes? I just found out today, that I was able to listen to a friend's online
scanner (police/fire scanner) up in the Bend, Oregon area. I was wondering how
in the world do I save and add more such stations to my play list??

Internet Radio Stations are just specialised url's that look like this
http://www.somafm.com/groovesalad.pls
or http://sc1.magnatune.com:8006/

A step by step would be nice addition to teach me new tricks!

Thrash madly at the GUI until you accidentally open the playlist editor
goto http://live365.com
cut
then paste.
