FYI - and let me know if this is not the right forum for posting this kind of info

http://eweb.org/Jobs/Current/AssocAppDev125.htm

Some notes -
I dont know much about this position but I do know we have both .NET / IIS programming going on and also Java on Unix/Linux - I would guess they are looking for someone who can tolerate either ( depending on your point of view ).

Also - and this is a big one.. the wages EWEB posts in job posings is not the real wage scale. EWEB polls the market ever 2 years and the market value gets set in the middle of a three tier scale. What you see in the posting is the lower of the three tiers. Its a little difficult to explain but basically no one ( in IS ) ever reaches the top tier simply because the market changes and you move into the middle tier and the top is an ever moving target - until the job red lines. So for jobs like secretary or some other position where the market may not be moving up it may be possible to red line in the 3rd tier, but no IS job has ever done this... it simply keeps moving upwards.

Think of the wage in a EWEB posting as being the range where HR would really like to hire someone.. with enough experience that is negotiable. and since we are governement ( public record ), if you want the current true scale, I can provide that .

PS - have achieved babbysitting and am planning on trying to video tape Saturday's event.. see you all there...
