I echo your sentiments Jamie, VOS is a wasteland, customer service
training needed!

Jamie,
I was merely referring to you going to Mike for parts and that VOS was
overstated in their policies on returns and fees. Hey, they still owe me a
refund, that they say can be used for something else I want to buy it, but
I'm out a few bucks in my pocket to their scam, than got the modem needed
at that computer place on 11th and chambers.
Jeff
I belive your talking about stans old place... I sure miss him... he
always funny...
You might talk to them to try to get your money back... if they told me
that I might have used it, and am trying to return it, i'd just say, no,
never used it, and doing so would be a crime. If your going to accuse me
of commiting a crime, you better call the police, otherwise, gimme my
money back before it becomes a real problem for you. I would have also
mentioned that If they dont, i'll take my case to microsoft, and tell
them exactly why I have to waste thier time instead of the retailer that
sold it to me. There's no guarantees on anything, however If they didnt
give me my $180 bucks back, I'd spend $180 on newspaper ads telling
everyone in eugene how cool VOS is (but thats just me... you dont have
to roll like that...)

Now, I like that referral, than the VOS catfight's, Jamie. Seems to me,
they're making money off crap, by charging more than what you paid for in
the first place? Hmm, go figures, overzealous sales people, more customer
service, nothing personal, but in the wrong business for them, I say.
are you just being a smartass here, or are you serious? obviously to
stay in business, you have to make more than you spend, however, if your
competition sells stuff for less than you do, then why go for the more
expensive place?
Misleading the customer when he was asked to pickup a specific item,
then charging them to return it for the right item, is not just
overzealous sales. The sales clerk actually told my customer that I
didnt know what I was doing, and that he needed something different than
I had asked him to pickup (it was like $20 more than what I told him
to pick up...).
1) VOS sales person mislead my customer.
2) VOS sales person charged my customer illegal fees to return items
they were mislead to belive they needed.
3) VOS sales person told my customer I didnt know what I was talking
about, and generally discredited me just to make a slightly higher sale.
I dont see anything trivial about my experiences with them, or any
reason I should ever accept that kind of behaviour from anyone.
Ive never heard of mike doing anything like that, and thats one of the
many reasons I go to mike for my local parts needs.
Jamie
Wonder what kinda weed they've been smoking lately.

I've disliked them more than any other computer store in town. 10 years
ago, i'd go in there because they were near where I lived. I've come
across several stupid and rude sales people there. The last straw was
when I sent a customer there for ram, the sales people told him that he
didnt want what I had asked him to pick up, and sold him something
different, then when he had to take it back to get the right ram, they
charged him a restocking fee, and a credit card use fee (which i belive
is illegal). So I now tell folks that they should shop there, only if
they dont mind paying too much money to people that will mislead you and
be jerks to your face, otherwise go to computerbase, Mike will hook you
up with the goods.
