You can only guy hard liquor (Vodka, Jagermeister, etc..) in a State
run store. (Virginia)
You can't buy any Alcohol on Sundays ( Kansas, Indiana, Missouri,
Some Parts of Michigan Most of the South. ).

Oregon does not seem to be that bad after all.

Add Ohio to the list of sane States. :-)

One main diff I've seen though, in Ohio, you can buy cheap weak watered down whiskey in super markets.

But nowadays, or more like since 10-20 years ago, most started to sell the hard stuff.  This usually occurs in the rural areas where that are not any state liquor stores.

Welcome to Oregon where everybody is sober in your terms! ;-)

(However, to be more legally correct, only maybe 30% of the public is sober. ;-)
