Hey hey Eugene area Lego'ers:  watch out for that Lunar Logic team -- they've been quietly bricking up a storm over there from what I understand... I haven't been in their lab for about 6 months, but know enough to be scared :)

I am running the FLL event in Corvallis. We are doing it the
first weekend in  December. So there is an opportunity for
learning from our crew and sharing of resources.

The key for Eugene to pull it off is to have someone (preferably a
group of 3) take on ownership of making the event happen.

We have a middle school for the weekend. We have a head judge who
coordinates the judges, we have a head ref who coordinates the refs.

there are training happening in the next little bit.

So If there were someone who would step up to be the organizer,
it would be possible to set up an event in Eugene this year.

There are likely going to be 800 or so teams in oregon this year.
So There is a substantial need for local events.
