Is that a winmodem you're trying to connect through? If your modem says HSP or is more recent than 1994, chances are it's a winmodem which will require special treatment and drivers.

Hmmm, PLease clarify for us. I need to know which of the following is currently a problem for you. 1.) finding and controlling the modem 2.) configuring peg to use the modem instead of ethernet for #2 the docs I've been able to find indicate that peng uses the file /etc/Pengaol/PengAol.conf to store its information. This will contain a phone number to dial and the connection device. you will want the connection device to be /dev/ttyS0 and the phone number to be your local dialup number. Hope this helps! -Mike On Sun, 2006-11-12 at 14:39 -0800, erock23175 wrote: > Changed the network settings, now it says that it's unable to load the drivers...any suggestions? > -e > > ------Original Message------ > From: Mr O <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "Eugene Unix and Gnu/Linux User Group" <euglug@euglug.org> > Date: Sun, Nov 12, 2006 08:29 PM > Subject: Re: [Eug-lug] Still having trouble with Peng > > Did you Ubuntu or Mandriva?
