apon further investigation, it looks like this years model is sold out 
(at $100K/each) but the 2009's are projected at $50-75k.

hey, i love hacking stuff, but I would have returned that unit! if you 
have to mod your unit, just to make it work as advertised, then its more 
or a repair than a mod

I modded a wifi router to use a car battery instead of a wall jack, 
(hey, it turns out wrt54g's run 12V, so does my car!) So, now I have a 
repeater that runs  outside, self contained. I have to charge the 
battery about every 2 weeks.  It didnt require opening or cutting or 
drilling or anything like that. does this count as a "mod"
