Wow.

(a) Wow.  The EU has a functioning government.  I wonder what
that's like.  Can't Microsoft buy some congres-- er, legislators
like they would here?

(b) Wow.  We all knew that Microsoft had packed the orgs that
ratified OOXML.  But who knew it would be illegal?  (Is it illegal,
or is that under contention?)

(c) Wow.  A whole continent without IE preinstalled (if that's the
actual remedy) would be shocking.  I'd expect Firefox to
take at least 80% of the market in the EU, given that it's a
well known and gratis product (never mind that it's libre).

(d) Wow.  Anything the EU does to force Microsoft into
actual interoperability instead of interoperability lip service
benefits the whole world, since we all use the same protocols.

First it was China, where copyright laws are never enforced.
Now it's the EU, where antitrust laws are enforced with extra zeal.
What's a poor multiply-convicted criminal monopolist to do?
