As I stated in my notes, the procedure I outlined has been used for Windows 95, 98, NT, XP, ME, 2000, Server, 2008, Vista and 7. You can't corrupt what you aren't retaining, as it's gone. Retaining the original windows installation can be much more difficult and was not the point of my post.
