Hey, all.

I picked up a laptop on here a while back. While trying to replace the
battery (which turned out to be rechargeable and non-removable), I
accidentally tore the housing from the motherboard. My soldering
skills are pretty minor, and I'm pretty sure I'm not equipped to
repair a motherboard.

. . . Unless I just don't know how.

So if there's anybody that does know how, could you direct me to them?
I don't want to waste any time with local tech guys who would just
poke it like I can and go: "Uh. It's broke." Somebody with better
skills and equipment?

I can fix the rest of the damn thing myself if I can rely on the
battery being sorted. Maybe. The BIOS screen comes up, but it won't
boot from anything, so I'm not too sure. Looked like a dead battery to
me.

*sigh*

Ideas?

Rx.
