Hi all,

I wonder if some of you have any experience with passive observers (no
active calls, only consulted on players' request) within Europe?

It's not about a general self-officiating / referee / observers discusion,
I'm simply curios if anything similar has been tried out (and I'm not
talking about the event in the UK with real referees).

After a few unpleasant incidents during the last 12 months, I am personally
sick of investing a lot of time and effort in building a competitive
Ultimate team as well as a competitive me, and then seeing it all
jeopardised by a few (yes, it's only _very_ occassional... but often the
same) teams. My reflections have been intensified by an everything but
pleasant and pretty important pool game of the EUC series in Bern last
September, some hearsay of things that happened at Paganello 2010, and most
recently by a semi-final of French Nationals last weekend.

I really don't want to bother you nor start the old discussion again, I just
wonder if there are already some measures in place to precicesly address
some _very_few_ games where difficulties can be expected in advance. If not,
do WFDF rules allow for anything that could ensure a fair flow?

Have a nice day,
Christian
