Dear Member Federations,

Dear European Elite Ultimate Teams,

The EUF is experiencing an unexpectedly low amount of registrations in
various qualification tournaments in the women's and partially also in the
mixed division.

Even though the ToCs and the EUF actively tried to find enough teams to run
these events, the number of registrations stayed at a level where it was
not possible to have a real selection on the field for the EUCF and for the
organisers to cover all fixed costs.

The EUF policies for the EUCF qualifications are clear and they are
unchanged for years:

The qualification for the EUCF must come from a selection on the field out
of a EUF tournament this year. It would be unfair towards others if we
would grant wildcards to teams just because the density of teams in their
region is low, without them having to earn this bid.

In order to manage this situation we have 2 tools:

   1.

Merge regions or reorder nations to other regions, where they can have
good competition and, if they are good, quality for the EUCF.
   2.

Use another official EUF event from 2022 to assign some EUCF bids

According to these principles and taking into account the low registration
level in some regions, the EUF has decided the following
Event Cancellations

   1.

The EUCR-N in Stockholm in the divisions Open, Women and Mixed will be
   cancelled
   2.

The EUCR-C in Berlin in the Women division will be cancelled

New “way to EUCF 2022”

   1.

Following the EUF Gender Equity Principles, we will assign already in
2022 2 bids for the EUCF to the Top2 Teams in the Women Division of the
   EUF Elite Invite 2022.
As already communicated in the call for bids for the Elite and Spring
   Invite 2023

it is planned that the Top2 teams from each division in the Elite Invite
2023 will immediately get a Bid for the EUCF2023, as well as the Winners of
the Spring Invite in each division. For the Women division this rule will
   be applied already in 2022.
   2.

The mixed Teams from the following Nations will compete together with
those from the Central Region in the EUCR in Ghent (Aug. 20+21)
   <https://euf.ultimatecentral.com/e/eucr-c-mixed-2022> for access to the
   EUCF:
   1.

      France
      2.

      Italy
      3.

      Sweden
      4.

      Switzerland

All interested teams should register asap and before July 20th. In case a
selection will be necessary it will be done shortly after July 20th.
The number of the EUCF Bids in the Mixed division will be generally
adapted, also taking into consideration the number of teams at each
qualification event

   1.

The Women Teams from the North and Central Region will compete together
with those from the East Region in the EUCR in Warsaw (Aug. 26+28)
   <https://euf.ultimatecentral.com/e/eucr-e-open-women-2022>for access in
   the EUCF.
This possibility is also open to teams that haven’t registered in the
EUCR-N (Women Division) or EUCR-C (Women Division).
All interested teams should register asap and before July 20th. In case
a selection will be necessary it will be done shortly after July 20th.
The number of the EUCF Bids in the Women division will be generally
adapted, also taking into consideration the number of teams at each
   qualification event
   2.

The Open Teams from the North Region will compete together with those
from the East Region in the EUCR in Warsaw (Aug. 26+28)
   <https://euf.ultimatecentral.com/e/eucr-e-open-women-2022>for access to
   the EUCF.
This possibility is also open to teams that haven’t registered in the
   EUCR-N (Open Division).
All interested teams should register asap and before July 20th. In case
a selection will be necessary it will be done shortly after July 20th.
The number of the EUCF Bids in the Open division will be generally
adapted, also taking into consideration the number of teams at each
   qualification event.
   3.

All other EUCRs stay unchanged and will take place.
All interested teams should register asap and before July 20th. In case
a selection will be necessary it will be done shortly after July 20th.

We do understand that these cancellations and consequent change of the
pathway to the EUCF might have negative consequences for some teams.

Unfortunately, the situation in 2022 is this one and the changes will
guarantee all teams a high-level qualification tournament for the EUCF.

For 2023 we want to be better prepared to face such challenges.

In order to do that, we ask motivated players out of all divisions to *join
the EUF regional and central series committees*. The tasks are mainly to
network within the teams in your division in the region to better
understand their needs and increase the total number of teams entering the
EUF Championship Series. If you are interested please just send a mail to
