Hi Michael, As far I know there isn't any ddos tracking working group in Ripe. Really I prefer Ripe as host for this initiative. But the mailing list in RIPE are dead :( But I am open in working in Ripe mailing lists for the ddos tracking.
For example, actually is very easy for us stop dDoS attacks with origen in Spain. But if we need contact with other players in Europe is very complex. Really we need a working group for fight against this attacks. In other topic, any thoughts about: A well-know community for notify to the upstreams and peers the host under attack. The QoS usage for fight against ddos A more strong position with the networks that permit spoof and smurf? I hope read you in ripe mailing list or euronog list or any other forum that working for a more stable internet. (Really, I have a very long filter policy in my mail client. One mail list more or minus don't have importance) Regards, Daniel Intelideas On Wednesday 05 February 2003 00:17, Michael Hallgren wrote: > Might be an interesting initiateve,... > > ... though, attempting to find an EU(rope) wide concensus of forum > and effort would likely be more productive (?) > > My personal bet's on http://www.ripe.net/ripe/wg/eof ... in spite of being > far from perfect.., being a potentially relevant (re-)starting point (?). > Let's attempt to evolve what is... perhaps focusing on a relevant > enhancement/review of activity and ops. focus..
