NASA Watch reports two new items. First, a French reader indignantly told
the site that the state-owned TV channel "France 2" has just reported as
flat fact on its evening news that the Apollo Moon landings were faked. My
God, even the Soviet Union never did that. If true, this would seem to
indicate that anti-American sentiment in France has reached psychotic
proportions.
Second, it turns out that the Russian boy band "Na Na" took a cosmonaut
training course for fun before Dennis Tito took his own. This opens up a
whole new potential use for manned spaceflight; I can think of dozens of pop
stars I'd gladly launch into outer space, provided it was on one-way trips.
Eminem alone would provide adequate justification for funding a Pluto
mission.
