Maybe there is something peculiar about Europa's anticipated ocean - 
but below a certain depth (order a few hundred metres) in Earth's 
oceans the same gases that form bubbles at shallow depths (e.g. 
oxygen from wave mixing, methane/CO2/hydrogen at vents) simply 
dissolve into the seawater.
Is there a reason why the same processes wouldn't also occur on Europa?
