Maybe there is something peculiar about Europa's anticipated ocean - but below a certain depth (order a few hundred metres) in Earth's oceans the same gases that form bubbles at shallow depths (e.g. oxygen from wave mixing, methane/CO2/hydrogen at vents) simply dissolve into the seawater. Is there a reason why the same processes wouldn't also occur on Europa? -- _____________________
