Bruce I'm kind of new to this list, So i don't know if this has been
discussed or not, but due to the distance between Earth And Jupiter, what
would the best means of control for a subterranean explorer be? (since radio
would have a significant delay, and being in a fluid environment would
require constant motion for stabilization, etc.) Also, is there ever a
period of time where Jupiter is between Europa and the Earth, effectively
blocking any communications? And what about the vast amounts of
radioactivity generated by the tidal forces between Jupiter and it's moons,
would that effect any radio transmissions?

Thanks for taking time to read this
Michael
