I must have missed something. I thought J002E3 WAS in orbit about the Earth making it a moon candidate. Since it appears to be have been inserted fairly recently, I would nitpick that it isn't really a "moon" until it gets a few million years of orbits around us. Shouldn't age count when considering the mooness of a body? ;-)

Not to nitpick, but doesn't a moon have to orbit the planet?  It seems like Cruithne should be designated "co-dependent minor planet".  :)   Also, since J002E3 appears to share earth's orbit, instead of orbiting earth, it should fall into the "minor planet" category?
